Happy Graduation, Adam and Kari!

For our combined graduation gift, my parents told us that we could pick out something that we needed or wanted (within a certain price range) and they would buy it for us. I originally wanted to put the money towards an ottoman for the living room, but since we are probably buying a house within the next month, I thought a grill might be a better idea since we don't really need an ottoman. (And Adam was much more excited about that anyway.)

So yesterday we went to RC Willey and picked out a new barbeque grill! Our new BIL's brother works there and he helped us pick one out and even gave us a discount and a free propane tank. Not to mention it was on sale....my favorite! We are going to pick it up today and I think Adam is really excited. I don't know a whole lot about grills---I think I might not even know how to start it, but I'll learn. ;)

Isn't it pretty?

The View

Hmm...is it weird that I keep posting about television shows? Can you tell that I'm sick and stay at home a lot lately? ;)

Today I am not so much pregnancy sick as head-cold sick. Yesterday evening I went with Adam to help our friends Alex and Jessica move into their cute new house in Lehi (that Adam sold to them!). I thought I was being all helpful, ya know, serving my fellow beings. I didn't carry anything heavy, they let me carry anything little or light. But it was windy outside and hot inside and after about a thousand trips up and down the stairs, I became kind of hot. But after a few hours (and a few breaks on my part), it became cold outside AND inside and then I was freezing. I felt fine after two cups of hot chocolate and we came home and watched American Idol (Go Jordin!).

HOWEVER.

When I got into bed, I was so stuffy and my nose was running like crazy. I didn't get hardly any sleep at all and we even went to bed at 11:30 which is super early for us. And I think I went through about half a box of Kleenex. Oi, it was annoying. The other half of the box is destined to be gone by the end of the evening, I can almost guarantee it.

But, back to the topic at hand. Do any of you watch "The View"? I just started watching it a few months ago and I have mixed feelings about it. Adam HATES that I watch it because he REALLY HATES Rosie O'Donnell. Sometimes I like her; I think she can be funny and lively. Other times, she's totally loud, obnoxious, and way too political. (Not to mention, a lesbian, and I for one, in no way support or agree with homosexuality.) Today she was so annoying to me. She got really mad at Elizabeth Hasselbeck for "not defending her" the other day when someone in the media said she thinks our troops are terrorists. In my opinion, she kind of did say that they were terrorists. She's always too busy spouting off stats and numbers and making such a big deal about how badly she hates republicans. Blah, blah, blah. Usually when they start to talk about politics I fast forward through it because A.) I don't like to hear them argue, and B.) I don't agree with Rosie or Joy's views and they are the loudest and so unwilling to listen to anyone else. I'm glad I didn't fast forward it today though because it was a HUGE blowout and I liked that Elizabeth kind of told her where to put it.

This became a long post, but my main point was to ask you all if you watch it and what you think. Wheww. I'm done.

The Office Season Finale

Ok, I'm so excited about it! Did you see The Office last night?? Oh my gosh, it was brilliant. Sometimes that show makes me so mad because they freakin go like a month without a new episode, and how do they think people like me are supposed to react to that?! Anyway, I really liked last night's episode. If you haven't seen it yet, stop reading, watch it, then come back and comment. If you have, please continue reading, and still comment.

Total shocker...umm hello, Jan's boobs??? That was hysterical!

Second big thing.... Jim and Pam. I am SO GLAD! And I think it was hilarious that he just left Karen in New York. He left. I know she was at lunch with friends, but he drove back to Pennsylvania without her. LOL. I like Karen, but not Jim and Karen. Adam was mad because he likes Jim and Karen, not Jim and Pam. Hehe, too bad. I'm even willing to look past Jim's horrible hair cut because of this new twist; yes, I'm that happy about it.

I'm so excited to see what happens next season. When does it start? Not soon enough, I can tell you that.

Also, you need to go here and watch deleted scenes from the episodes. They. Are. Awesome. I especially like the one from last night with Michael's interview....glue tooth?! LOL!!!

American Idol

Ok, I hate to post about American Idol, but I'm going to anyway. And how do I say this politely? Oh wait, I don't care, so here goes: I DO NOT WANT BLAKE LEWIS TO WIN!!!!! Ewww, he annoys me so badly! I really think he is gay (literally, I think he's a homo) and I hate his dance moves. If he wins, I'm going to be so bugged. I sound so mean, but really, he just is irritating. And yeah, we know you can beatbox, and that is cool, but enough already!

Also, I don't want Melinda to win either. I like her and I think she's such a nice, good person, but I just don't prefer her voice. I think she's very talented, her singing style is just not my taste.

So, yes, I want Jordin Sparks to win. I think she is AMAZING and I like her fun personality. I definitely think she's the best by far and the most marketable. Yay Jordin!! I voted like 20 times tonight, not only because I want her to win, but mostly because I really don't want Blake to win.

So Pensive

Our friend sent Adam this picture. It's me in the hallway at our friend's wedding, waiting for Adam to be done talking, I'm sure. But I thought it was kinda cute in sepia tone, and you can see my cute winter coat that I never posted a picture of and my pretty boots!

My Husband, the College Grad!

Today Adam gradutated from the University of Utah with not one, but TWO degrees! Yes, he's amazing. His degrees are in Russian and International Studies. He looked so cute in his cap and gown! I married a very handsome man! I'll have to post pictures later since my camera (of course) died while we were there so all the pictures are on other people's cameras.

I'm so proud of him! I'm also so excited for him to be done with school!!! (Well, unless he decides to go back to grad school someday.) What a freakin' relief though! It will be so nice on him too, not to have to worry about school anymore. It really does feel like a huge burden has been lifted around our house. Hmm....now only if we could get someone to pay off those nasty little student loans we'd be set!
